ERIC has been shooting WEDDINGS, FASHION, AND LIFESTYLE in the Hamptons, New York City, Florida, Colorado and the Caribbean FOR OVER 15 YEARS.
His images have appeared in numerous magazines including Town & Country, NY Times, Conde Nast Traveler, W, Vogue, House Beautiful, Elite Traveler, ZooZoom, Hamptons Cottages & Gardens, Palm Beach Illustrated, and Hamptons Magazine.
Clients have included Josie Natori (via Loftex), La Perla USA, John Varvatos, Badgley-Mischka, and Ralph Lauren Footwear.
Eric's Photographs have been published in numerous books including Rocco Gets Real by Rocco DiSpirito and Delicious by Victoria Amory.
He has recently completed shooting the year-long project for RIZZOLI International Books, "New York Parties" - An opulent and exciting look inside New York high-society entertaining—a collaboration with famed socialite and author Jamee Gregory.
Shooting weddings is a forte for Eric as it combines all his photographic talents into one project. He has mastered shooting people as well as still life and interiors, all of which he feels should be incorporated into great wedding photographs. In addition, shooting fashion for over 10 years have given him a great eye and insight when shooting brides as he pays attention to the smallest details.
In addition to mastering several genres of photography for his wedding clients, he also wants to capture the day in a candid, reportage manner. His personal tastes in photography revolve around candid yet sexy images that show a feel of "In the moment" and happiness.
Eric specializes in creating images showing movement and dynamic moments, often in black and white, giving the images a classic, timeless look. His favorite photographers are Bruce Weber, David Bailey, Richard Avedon, Francesco Scavullo and Irving Penn.
Eric Striffler holds a BA degree from the University of Rhode Island where he studied Pre-Law, Psychology and Photography. He also studied at SUNY Purchase as well as apprenticed with NY fashion and beauty photographer Norine Perreault.
Eric currently resides in the Hamptons in Long Island New York, and travels frequently to the Caribbean and Colorado to pursue his passions of Scuba Diving, Skiing and snowboarding.
